Job Description

Location: Kadina

Status: Part Time FTE 0.40

The Children and Parenting Support Services program supports families to build their parenting capacity.  The program aims to ensure parents have the opportunity to learn and grow while enhancing family life.

As the Case Manager, you will build parenting capacity by providing hands-on role modelling of safe and nurturing parenting practices in the family home.  You will also support and foster strong relationships between children and their families.

Desired Skills and Experience

You will:

  • Be able to work with families and children in their home while assisting families to overcome challenges.
  • Have a solid knowledge of child development and age appropriate parenting strategies.
  • Have the ability to establish positive, empowering relationships with families.
  • Be organised, plan to meet deadlines.
  • Have strong relationship building and communication skills, written and verbal.

It is essential for you to have: 

  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Relevant experience, in a paid or voluntary capacity.

A Certificate IV (or above) in a Human Services related field (e.g. Community Services, Case Management, Child Youth and Family Intervention, Youth Work, etc) will be highly regarded. 

You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.
