Job Description

About The Position

Location: Port Pirie

Status: Part Time FTE 0.60

The Client Services Officer is the first point of contact for people requiring or enquiring about Uniting Country SA services.

As the Client Services Officer, you will assist and respond to people who present at the front counter or phone in on the generic number.  You will briefly listen to the person, determine their needs and what assistance is most appropriate, and ensure the person is connected with the programs that will address their immediate needs. Administration tasks are also part of this role.

Desired Skills and Experience

      You will:

  • Be self-motivated, enthusiastic and a team player.
  • Have empathy and strong relationship building and communication skills.
  • Have knowledge of key barriers facing people with complex needs.
  • Have knowledge of Strength Based practices, crisis management and problem solving theories.

It is essential for you to have: 

  • Current Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Relevant experience, in a paid or voluntary capacity.

A Certificate lV (or above) in a Human Services related discipline will be highly regarded. 

You may also need to be available for some out of hours work and travel between Uniting Country SA sites or interstate as required.
